SIMTGADNIEKS, KURŠ IZKĀPA PA LOGU UN PAZUDA is an explosive two-part comedy at Valmieras teātris Lielā zāle in Valmiera from 21 to 24 January 2027. Directed by Mārtiņš Eihe, the production is based on Jonas Jonasson’s novel, with dramaturgy by Laila Burāne. The cast includes Aigars Apinis, Anna Nele Āboliņa, Rūdis Bīviņš, Artis Jančevskis, Māra Mennika, Elizabete Milta, Kristaps Kristers Ozols, Ieva Puķe, Inese Ramute and Klinta Reinholde. On his 100th birthday, Allan Karlsson escapes from a care home and picks up a stranger’s bag containing fifty million kronor. A love story, thriller, explosions, gangsters and a very much alive elephant unfold alongside the extraordinary course of Allan’s life.
