Balets "Hamlets. (Ne)stāsti man pasakas" is a ballet performance at the Latvian National Opera and Ballet in Riga, running from 25 October 2026 to 20 March 2027. Antons Freiman's first full-length ballet, inspired by Shakespeare’s tragedy “Hamlet”, explores themes of death and intergenerational dialogue. The musical score features a conversation between Sergei Rachmaninoff and composer Linda Leimane. Elza Leimane’s staging, "(Ne)stāsti man pasakas", is inspired by Imants Ziedonis’ “Colorful Tales”, reflecting the diversity of ballet history. The music is composed and performed by Jānis Šipkēvics (Shipsea), Matīss Čudars, and Kaspars Kurdeko. Suitable for those interested in contemporary ballet, literary themes and original musical interpretation.
