Lāčplēša dienas lāpu gājiens Siguldā is an outdoor torchlight procession in Sigulda on 11 November 2026, starting at the cultural centre “Siguldas devons” and ending in the garden of Sigulda New Castle. Participants are invited to gather from 17:30, with the procession beginning at 18:00. Bring your own torch and wear a red-and-white Latvian ribbon. In the castle garden, everyone can light a candle in the outline of Latvia to honour freedom fighters. After the event, torches must be carefully extinguished; visitors are encouraged to keep them for next year’s celebration to help protect nature.
