VIENTULĪGIE RIETUMI is a two-act tragicomedy by Martin McDonagh in Valmiera, performed at Valmieras teātris Apaļā zāle from 6 November 2026 to 10 January 2027. The play follows two brothers locked in mutual conflict and hatred in an Irish village. Directed by Toms Treinis, it features set design by Hugo Bērziņš, costumes by Marta Treine and music by Jūlijs Melngailis. The cast includes Tomass Ralfs Ābolkalns, Anna Nele Āboliņa, Ģirts Rāviņš and Sandis Runge. Its direct language, dark tone and sharp humour also reveal parallels with everyday life in Latvia.
