The play "TREŠĀS IMPĒRIJAS BAILES UN POSTS", based on Bertolt Brecht's work, will be performed at Valmieras teātris Jaunā zāle in Valmiera from 8 October to 7 November 2026. Directed by Indra Roga, this two-part production explores the impact of totalitarianism and fear on society, drawing parallels to contemporary times. Written in exile in Denmark between 1935–1938, Brecht’s play reveals the mechanisms of manipulation in Nazi Germany. The production features set design by Mārtiņš Vilkārsis, costumes by Anna Heinrihsone, and music by Jēkabs Jančevskis. The cast includes Aksels Aizkalns, Ieva Estere Barkāne, Elizabete Milta, among others. The performance is in Latvian and is suitable for adults.
