Valmieras teātra viesizrāde SPRĪDĪTIS is a fairy-tale play in Riga at Dailes teātris Lielā zāle, running from 2 to 3 February 2027. Based on Anna Brigadere’s play in two parts, it follows a lively, curious and selfless boy who faces a series of challenges: protecting the sons of the Mother of the Wind, freeing children lost in the forest from Lutausis, outwitting Sīkstulis and defeating the devil. Directed and designed by Reinis Suhanovs, the production features Rūdis Bīviņš, Aksels Aizkalns, Aigars Apinis and other Valmiera Theatre actors. The play is intended for children from grades 1 to 5 and explores growing up, adventure and finding one’s way home.
