Umberto Mastrojāni izstāde “Krāsu abstrakcija. 1934–1992” is an art exhibition in Daugavpils at Rotko muzejs, Mihaila iela 3, on 10 September 2026. It introduces the work of Italian artist Umberto Mastroianni across sculpture, painting, graphic art and textiles, ranging from bronze to paper, cardboard and tapestry. Through cuts, folds, engravings and colour, material becomes a space of movement, rhythm and intense emotion. Created especially for Rotko muzejs, the selection establishes a symbolic dialogue between Mastroianni and Mark Rothko. Their connection lies in a shared effort to move beyond figurative representation and reveal the emotional and spiritual potential of art.
