Exhibition “Cornucopia”
The exhibition examines the concept of the cornucopia through the diversity, research, and interpretation of the art museum's collections, highlighting the institution's openness to change and its response to the socio-political situation. The display presents artworks that have either not been accessible to visitors for decades or have never been shown before. The exhibition is based on two parallel lines: the symbolism of the cornucopia in various cultures and religions (the ancient world, Christianity in Europe, Asian art), and a reflection on the museum as an institution. The narrative unfolds through painting, graphic art, sculpture, decorative applied arts, and numismatics, raising questions that may not yet have clear answers in today's changing world.
