"Puika, kurš redzēja tumsā" is a theatre production in Riga at the Nacionālais teātris Lielā zāle from 24 September to 14 November 2026. The story follows Jēkabs, who grew up with blind parents and is the only child in his family who can see in darkness. When school begins, he realizes that life is full of endless responsibilities. Written by Rasa Bugavičute-Pēce and directed by Valters Sīlis, the cast includes Kārlis Reijers, Daiga Gaismiņa, Ainārs Ančevskis, with Elizabete Lielmane or Agnese Budovska or Madara Reijere and Romāns Bargais. The production won the Spēlmaņu nakts 2019/2020 GRAND PRIX award.
