Ilgu tramvajs is a staging of a 20th-century classic in Riga at the National Theatre’s Great Hall, running from 18 October to 16 December 2026. Tennessee Williams’s play follows Blanche’s story, a role that demands open nerves and an existence on the edge from its actress. The production is directed by Pēteris Krilovs. The cast includes Maija Doveika, Jēkabs Reinis, Jana Ļisova, Gundars Grasbergs, Kaspars Aniņš, Uldis Anže or Ivars Puga, and Aleksandrs Tomass Matjussons. With its close-up theatrical setting, the production tests the sensitivity of both performers and audience.
