The play "PIRMAVOTS," a melodrama about impossible love, will be performed at the Dailes Theatre Great Hall in Riga from 17 September to 10 December 2026. The production is presented with English surtitles; for better visibility, it is recommended to choose seats from row 7 and back. Filming and photography are strictly prohibited during the performance, and mobile device cameras must be covered with a special sticker at the entrance in support of the theatre's "Theatre without a Phone" campaign respecting actors’ privacy. Based on Ayn Rand's novel, described as a “hymn to individualism” and rarely staged in Europe due to its complexity. Directed by Viesturs Kairišs, the cast includes Kaspars Dumburs and Ilze Ķuzule-Skrastiņa among others. Intended for an adult audience.
