“Ko var cilvēks” is a psychological theatre drama in Rīga at the Nacionālais teātris on 28 November 2026. Set in the second half of the 1970s, the play evokes the era of the “Mikrofona” survey, hockey and the Cold War. At its centre is an unseen, harsh struggle between people trying to find the truth. The production is based on true events and inspired by a real criminal case. Written by Jānis Joņevs and directed by Roberts Daubars, it features Sanita Paula, Elza Rūta Jordāne and Mārcis Maņjakovs. The play invites audiences to experience the music of the period and reflect on choice and destiny.
