The play "KALIFORNIJAS PAKALNI", a family melo(dy)drama, will take place at the Dailes Theatre Large Hall in Riga on 22 September 2026. Set in the seaside town of Blackpool in the 1970s, the story follows four Webb sisters returning to their childhood home to reflect on lost dreams and family secrets during their mother's last days. The show features choreographed musical scenes, moments of song and dance, and themes of memories and longing. Written by Jez Butterworth and directed by Mārtiņš Eihe, with scenography by Adriāns Toms Kulpe, the production stars Vita Vārpiņa, Ieva Segliņa, Ilze Ķuzule-Skrastiņa, among others. The play received an Olivier Award nomination for Best New Play.
