“Swan Lake” combines Tchaikovsky’s masterful music with the choreography of Petipa and Ivanov. In this 2020 production by the Latvian National Opera and Ballet, choreographer Aivars Leimanis adds new variations, with costumes by Roberts Perdziola and set design by Juan Guillermo Nova. The story follows Prince Siegfried’s encounter with Odette and Odile, the struggle between good and evil, and a detailed presentation of the classical ballet through dance, gestures, character relationships, costumes, and set design.
