Jelgavas kamerorķestra koncerts “Daugava. Lāčplēsis”

Jelgavas kamerorķestra koncerts “Daugava. Lāčplēsis” is a concert in Jelgava at Jelgavas Kultūras nams, Barona iela 6, on November 11, 2026. The first part features Mārtiņš Brauns and Rainis’s “Daugava”, performed by the mixed choir “Rotā” of Jelgava Lielupe Secondary School under the direction of Līga Celma-Kursiete, Krista Delvere and Ingus Leilands. In the second part, the Jelgava Chamber Orchestra, led by Aigars Meri, performs Emīls Zilberts’s original music for the film “Lāčplēsis”. The programme also includes a selection of fragments from the digitally restored version of the film, assembled by director Juris Pakalniņš. This screening and live performance present the 1930 historical feature film with a contemporary soundtrack.
