The concert performance "Vizmai Belševicai 95 - Es aiziet nevaru" will take place at VEF Kultūras pils in Riga from 9 October to 29 November 2026. Dedicated to the esteemed poet Vizma Belševica, the event will bring her poetry to life through music by Raimonds Pauls, Imants Kalniņš, Uldis Stabulnieks, Niks Matvejevs, the group Krasts, and a new song cycle by Laila Ilze Purmaliete. The stage will feature Līga Zeļģe, Laila Ilze Purmaliete, Ieva Sutugova, Artūrs Biķernieks, several choirs, and an instrumental ensemble led by pianist Anatolijs Livča. The performance is directed by Laila Ilze Purmaliete, with a script and visual design by Elizabete Trumpe. Expect a moving and multifaceted musical evening reflecting both the depth and vitality of Belševica's poetry.
