The play "ĪSTI RIETUMI", written by Sam Shepard, will be performed at Dailes teātris Lielā zāle in Riga from 4 October to 10 December 2026. Set on the outskirts of Los Angeles, the story explores a darkly humorous confrontation between two brothers—an aspiring Hollywood writer and a drifter—challenging the American dream. Starring Toms Veličko, Niklāvs Kurpnieks, Vita Vārpiņa, and Lauris Subatnieks. Directed by Mateusz Staniak with a Belgian and Latvian production team. The performance is in Latvian with English surtitles, best viewed from rows 8–14. Co-produced by the Adam Mickiewicz Institute. Ideal for modern theatre lovers and Sam Shepard fans.
