Dejas māja KURTUVĒ: Simts vientulības
"Dejas māja KURTUVĒ: Simts vientulības" is a poetic contemporary dance performance taking place at KURTUVE Contemporary Art Space in Valmiera on 3 October 2026. The production explores themes of human boundaries with the world, where loneliness is seen as a fundamental state, and authenticity is sought in solitude and group anonymity. Inspired by Gabriel García Márquez's novel "One Hundred Years of Solitude" and magical realism, the choreography by Rūta Pūce is performed by students of the second year of the Riga Ballet School’s contemporary dance program. Composer: Alan Stones. This performance revisits and renews a work originally created in 2015, offering viewers a thought-provoking and emotional artistic experience.
