The ballet "Ilgu zvaigznājs" is a poetic performance presented in Riga at the Latvian National Opera and Ballet from 9 to 28 April 2027. Inspired by an ancient legend of seven heavenly sisters whose secrets outshine the stars, the story unfolds when one reveals a forbidden love, resulting in irreversible celestial change. It weaves a tale of a force greater than time, death or the heavens. The world premiere features composer Ēriks Ešenvalds, choreographer Milana Komarova, set designer Ivars Veinbergs, costume designer Kristīne Pasternaka, video artist Roberts Rubīns, and lighting designer Reinis Smiltenis.
