Vineta Sareika un Amandīne Savarī

On 26 September 2026, a concert with violinist Vineta Sareika and French pianist Amandine Savary will take place at Mazā Mežotnes pils in Mežotne. The programme features the first performance by Sareika of Pēteris Vasks' 'Summer Sonata' for solo violin. Together, the artists will perform Karol Szymanowski's cycle 'Myths for Violin and Piano, Op. 30', which includes 'The Fountain of Arethusa', 'Narcissus', and 'Dryads and Pan', as well as Maurice Ravel's Sonata for Violin and Piano No. 2, and George Gershwin / Jascha Heifetz transcriptions from 'Porgy and Bess'.
