The theater musical «Riekstkodis: Apburtā prinča noslēpums» will be staged at VEF Kultūras pils in Riga from 18 December 2026. Presented by the Tallinn Musical Theater SLL, this premiere retells the classic Nutcracker tale with music based on Pyotr Tchaikovsky's famous ballet. The story follows Prince Philip, transformed into the Nutcracker by the cunning Queen Charlotte, and dreamy Sofia, who, together with her toy friends, embarks on an adventure to reveal the prince’s secret and free the kingdom. The performance features well-known Tchaikovsky melodies adapted as songs. The musical lasts 1 hour 30 minutes with an intermission, is in Russian, and is suitable for families and children aged 6 and up.
