SPĪTNIECES SAVALDĪŠANA is a comedy by William Shakespeare in Liepāja, presented from 4 December 2026 to 28 January 2027 at Lielais Dzintars, Radio iela 8. Directed by Nellija Spūle, the production follows Katarina, who must marry before her younger sister Bianca can wed, and Petruchio’s attempts to court the famous shrew by any means. The interpretation examines gender roles, power, survival and the games played in relationships. The cast includes Polina Čerņenoka, Gatis Maliks, Dārta Cīrule, Kārlis Ērglis and Alise Dzene. Set design is by Marta Madara Grantiņa, with music by Toms Auniņš, dramaturgy by Diāna Kondraša and lighting by Ēriks Gertners. The premiere is scheduled for 4 December.
