The opening of Roberta Rūrāna izstādes “Isildura lāsts” is an art event in Jūrmala at Aspazijas māja on 9 October 2026. The opening begins at 17:00, while the exhibition remains on view until 16 January 2027. This series by artist and illustrator Roberts Rūrāns draws on J. R. R. Tolkien’s world of The Lord of the Rings to explore the enduring struggle between good and evil and the choices people make within themselves. At its centre are Frodo’s dilemma and Plato’s allegory of the chariot, representing opposing forces in the human soul. Rūrāns works in acrylic and engages with the aesthetics and symbolism of medieval Christian art. Address: Zigfrīda Meierovica prospekts 20.
