"Riekstkodis" is a musical puppet and mask performance for preschool and primary school children in Liepāja, taking place at Liepājas koncertzāle LIELAIS DZINTARS, Lielā zāle, from 18 to 19 December 2026. This large-scale collaboration between Liepāja Puppet Theatre and Liepāja Symphony Orchestra is inspired by E. T. A. Hoffmann's fairy tale and the world-famous music of Pyotr Tchaikovsky. The show uses a variety of puppetry techniques, masks, lighting, and live acting to create a richly visual experience. The production is directed by Ģirts Šolis, with dramaturgy by Edgars Niklasons and performances by Denisa Egle, Madara Enkuzena, and Aleksandrs Jonovs. Set and costumes: Agnese Kaupere.
