“Principiāla nostāja” is a play in Riga at the National Theatre’s New Hall from 7 November to 17 December 2026. It is the second production in a trilogy dedicated to investigator Rita Aksenoka. Written by Jānis Joņevs and directed by Roberts Dauburs, the play explores Latvia’s restoration of independence, the politics and racketeering of the period, and the importance of taking a courageous stand in the country’s history. Historical events are revealed through the characters’ experiences. The cast includes Marija Bērziņa, Uldis Anže, Ainārs Ančevskis and Romāns Bargais. The venue is at Kronvalda bulvāris 2, Riga.
