The production of the operas "Zemnieka gods" and "Pajaci" takes place at the Latvian National Opera and Ballet in Riga, Aspazijas Boulevard 3, from 11 November 2026 to 23 April 2027. This double bill features the passions of the verismo genre: Pietro Mascagni's "Zemnieka gods" explores the turmoil caused by jealousy and betrayal in a Sicilian village, while Ruggero Leoncavallo's "Pajaci" blends love and deception within both a theatrical troupe's performance and their personal lives. Audiences can expect powerful storytelling, expressive music, and a vibrant stage experience. For detailed visitor information and duration, please consult the organiser in advance.
