Opera "Traviata" is Giuseppe Verdi's three-act opera, staged at the Latvian National Opera and Ballet in Riga from 29 October 2026 to 22 May 2027. This production is set in post-World War II Paris, capturing the society’s longing to forget the war and embrace life again. At the heart of the story is the relationship between the courtesan Violetta and her admirer Alfredo, highlighted by dazzling balls, intimate scenes, and Verdi’s unforgettable melodies and waltz rhythms. It is one of Verdi’s most popular operas with dream roles for soprano and tenor.
