The musical performance “Čipolīno Jaungada piedzīvojumi” takes place in Riga at the Rīgas Latviešu Biedrības nams from 19 to 27 December 2026. Based on Gianni Rodari’s classic tale, it tells the story of the brave boy Cipollino and his friends who restore justice in the fairy-tale land of fruits and vegetables. Presented by the Kolizejs company, the show features colorful costumes, original songs, interactive games with the audience, and festive New Year's surprises. Music is performed live by Gidons Grinbergs, who plays both Professor Pear and the violin. Renowned actors such as Sergejs Dobrotvorskis, Antons Patlins, Andrejs Mošāns, and Darja Kravcova also take part. Directed by Andrejs Sediševs. The show is in Russian, suitable for families, and lasts 1 hour 30 minutes. Children under 4 years old may attend for free if sitting on a parent’s lap.
