KRUSTOJUMS is a Jaunais Rīgas teātris play in Riga, taking place at the Great Hall, Lāčplēša iela 25, from 28 to 31 January 2027. It is a completely new production of Estonian author Jāns Tete’s play, with a different cast and set design. Set in 1990s Estonia, the comedy combines philosophical subtext with shifts between the comic and dramatic, the credible and the impossible. A solitary eccentric living in a hut in the forest is visited one night by two strangers, while the plot’s surprises are best discovered without spoilers. The performance lasts 2 hours 30 minutes and has two acts. Translation, direction and set design are by Alvis Hermanis. The cast includes Jānis Skutelis, Jevgēnijs Isajevs, Evelīna Priede and Ričards Murāns.
