The concert programme "DĀRGAKMEŅI RUDZU LAUKĀ" takes place at Restorāns AKUSTIKA in Valmiera on 19 September 2026. Performed by tenor Jānis Kurševs, pianist Ilze Jaunzeme, and cellist Agate Ozoliņa, the evening features gems of Latvian vocal and chamber music. Listeners will hear beautiful melodies set to texts by R. Blaumanis, J. Poruks, O. Vācietis, as well as Imants Zemzars' playful tango and Emīls Dārziņš' Melancholy Waltz, with the story behind its creation. Raimonds Pauls' compositions will also be included in honour of his jubilee year. All three performers are acclaimed artists in their fields, both in Latvia and abroad. The concert takes place in an intimate setting, ideal for fans of Latvian and classical vocal music.
