BILŽU VAKARS AR SPRĪDĪTI is a play in Riga at the New Riga Theatre, taking place from 19 to 21 January 2027. It is intended for primary and lower-secondary school children and their parents. Through looking at pictures and playfully reconstructing the events, the production invites audiences to return to the feeling of fairy tales and encounter Sprīdītis anew. Gunārs Sprīdis is ready to become Sprīdītis once again, to delight his grandmother on her grand anniversary and meet those closest to him. The play is for both those familiar with Sprīdītis and those discovering Anna Brigadere’s story for the first time. The performance lasts 1 hour 55 minutes and has two acts. Directed by Jēkabs Nīmanis, with set and costume design by Līga Zepa and music by Elīza Dombrovska. The cast includes Guna Zariņa, Jānis Skutelis, Jana Čivžele and Elīza Dombrovska.
