The ballet "Pērs Gints" is a contemporary ballet performance at the Latvian National Opera and Ballet in Riga, Aspazijas Boulevard 3, running from 22 January to 18 March 2027. Inspired by Henrik Ibsen's famous drama, it follows the adventure-seeking Pērs Gints as he returns home to faithful Solveiga after long wanderings abroad. The choreography is by Slovenian choreographer Edward Klug, blending self-irony, absurdity, and surrealism with Edvard Grieg's music. Visitors will experience a modern artistic interpretation paired with powerful musical accompaniment in this production.
