“Vēju vīrs Pankoks” is an opera by Rihards Dubra, with a libretto by Inga Ābele, taking place at the Liepāja Concert Hall GREAT AMBER, Main Hall, from 5 to 6 November 2027. The opera tells the story of Miķelis Pankoks, a fisherman's son on Latvia's southern coast, whose journey through family drama, triumphs, and loss leads him to discover his calling as an artist. Performed in the South Kurzeme dialect, the production interweaves real and symbolic imagery. The event is accessible for people with hearing impairments, with the best listening experience in the center stalls, rows 5 to 12.
