VĒJDZIRNAVAS is a theatre performance in Riga at the New Riga Theatre, running from 11 November to 17 December 2026. Inga Ābele’s play centres on a country property left without an owner, where relatives and heirs gather. Melodramatic passions unfold around money, family and the ties between them. Directed by Alvis Hermanis, the production shapes this contemporary Latvian story into a poetic and existential metaphor for a nation whose beginning and end are one great mystery. The performance has two acts and lasts 3 hours 30 minutes.
