Tautas deju koncerts “Kā Miķelis pie Mārtiņa ciemos brauca…” is a folk dance concert taking place on 31 October 2026 in Ķekava, in the courtyard of Ķekavas kultūras nams at Gaismas iela 17. It explores the period between Miķeļi and Mārtiņi, the seasonal transition from the productive autumn towards the beginning of winter, when autumn work is complete and harvest celebrations are held. The middle-generation dance group ZĪLE welcomes its dance friends from Riga, Aizkraukle, Jēkabpils, Ikšķile, Malnava and Jelgava: ARTAVA, AIZKRAUKLIS, DAIĻRADES ZELTS, DELVE, GODI, JEDRITVAI, MŪSU LIELUPE and ZALKTIS. The programme brings together dance, songs, jokes and the joy of meeting, with the approaching Mārtiņi and the season of masking as part of its Latvian traditional context.
