Royal Corgi Walk
The Royal Corgi Walk is dedicated to the memory of Queen Elizabeth II and her affection for corgis, while also promoting responsible pet ownership and the welfare of dogs. Participants will gather at 17:45 in Bastejkalns Park, on the left side of the Freedom Monument. At 18:00, there will be a ceremonial corgi count and group photo, followed by an organized walk for Pembroke and Cardigan corgis along the route: Bastejkalns Park – Freedom Monument – Esplanade – Kronvalda Park. The walk concludes with a Royal British tea picnic in Kronvalda Park at 19:00. Well-socialized Welsh Pembroke and Cardigan corgis on short, owner-controlled leashes are invited to take part, with each owner responsible for their dog's behavior, safety, and cleanliness during the event.
