This September, one of the most notable cycling events in Latvia’s culture—the Tweed Ride—will take place on the streets of Riga. Residents and city guests are invited to dress in classic retro outfits, decorate their bicycles, and enjoy a joint ride through Riga’s streets and most beautiful places, celebrating cycling. Anyone with a bicycle and stylish attire—from 19th-century tailcoats and evening dresses to seventies disco fashion—can join. Prizes will be awarded for the best costumes, and the ride will also support the charity movement "No Childhood Without a Bike."
