Mikelis Day marks the autumn equinox, when day and night are equal and astronomical autumn begins. To celebrate this occasion, the Mikelis Day Fair offers a festive atmosphere with a stage programme featuring songs and dances. The market will feature pumpkins, apples, pears, cranberries, and lingonberries grown in Latvia. Homemade jams, cheeses, pastries, and freshly baked bread will be available. Visitors can also enjoy fresh honey, smoked meats, and a variety of fish. In the crafts tents, traditional and modern linen products, ceramics, jewellery, wooden spoons, and more can be found.
