The interactive walking performance "Saldus skices" will take place on 19 September 2026 at Saldus city centre, O. Kalpaks Square. This event blends elements of an educational tour with episodes of art appreciation, and includes opportunities for the audience to participate in the performance itself. The programme features poetry by Māris Čaklais, music by Ēriks Ķiģelis, and inspiration from Jānis Rozentāls' painting, all central to the story of Saldus. The experience lasts just under two hours, offering insights into Saldus' origins and its prominent cultural figures. In case of bad weather, bring a raincoat or umbrella. The event is suitable for ages 14 and up. Photos will be taken for publicity purposes.
