The concert program “Dejas saksofonam un akordeonam,” featuring accordionist Artūrs Noviks and saxophonist Aigars Raumanis, takes place on 13 November 2026 at Valmiera Culture Centre. This expressive chamber music journey explores a variety of styles, highlighting the vibrant sounds of the saxophone and accordion. At the heart of the program is the theme of dance as a universal musical and cultural phenomenon, combining energy, movement, and dialogue between instruments. The repertoire includes pieces inspired by Astor Piazzolla’s tango, Gorka Hermosa’s Iberian dance scenes, the intensity of Latin rhythms, Pedro Iturralde’s Greek-inspired festive moods, Richard Galliano’s French musical colors, and Hermeto Pascoal’s Brazilian playfulness.
