“Sonātes un fantāzijas saksofonam un klavierēm” is a chamber music concert at the Great Hall of Liepājas koncertzāle LIELAIS DZINTARS in Liepāja on 19 March 2027. AkMi Duo — French saxophonist Valentīna Mišo and Lithuanian pianist Akvile Šileikaite — perform sonatas by Paul Hindemith and Fernanda Dekrica, arrangements of vocal music by Dvořák and Honegger, Voicehs Halupka’s contemporary work, and François Borne’s fantasy on themes from “Carmen”. The programme presents the saxophone as an equal sonata partner, a carrier of singing melodies and a virtuoso soloist. The concert is suited to listeners interested in classical and contemporary music.
