"Sniega karaliene" is a classic rod puppet theatre performance at Latvijas Leļļu teātris Mazā zāle in Riga, running from 18 to 23 December 2026. Based on Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tale, it follows little Gerda’s journey to rescue her friend Kai, who has been taken by the Snow Queen. The show balances dark and humorous moments, highlighting the powers of love, loyalty, and warmth. Directed by Māris Koristins with set design by Anita Znutiņa-Šēve and music by Valdis Zilveris, the production features Dace Vītola, Lienīte Podskočija, Edgars Kaufelds and others. Audience members are asked to observe the theatre's rules.
