SIDHARTA is a music theatre performance presented at Dailes teātris Lielā zāle in Riga from 21 to 23 October 2026. Directed by Lisaboa Houbrechts and based on Hermann Hesse’s novel, the show follows a young Brahman's spiritual journey to enlightenment in India. The performance is in English with Latvian surtitles; for better visibility, seats from row 7 and further back are recommended. The production features an international cast, the acclaimed Latvian Radio Choir conducted by Kaspars Putniņš, and music by composer Caroline Shaw. Blending dramatic theatre and opera, SIDHARTA offers an immersive exploration of self-discovery, detachment, and the search for meaning in today’s world.
