The music theatre production “Mūzikas teātris "Sidharta"” takes place on 23 October 2026 in Riga at Dailes Theatre. Belgian director Lisaboa Houbrechts dissolves the boundary between dramatic theatre and opera in her interpretation of Hermann Hesse’s novel, following a young Brahmin’s spiritual journey towards enlightenment in India. The production brings together artists from Belgium, Venezuela, the Netherlands, India and Latvia, American composer Caroline Shaw, actress Milēna Miškēviča and the Latvian Radio Choir under the direction of Kaspars Putniņš. The performance is in English with Latvian subtitles.
