The puppet theatre performance "Sarkanmatīte" will take place at the Latvian Puppet Theatre Small Hall in Riga from 5 to 30 December 2026. Inspired by Margarita Stāraste’s fairy tale, the show tells the story of a toy that was once cherished but eventually forgotten. Three elves – masters of toys – use puppets, various objects, and music to recount Sarkanmatīte’s journey from her creation to a chance for a second life. Suitable for families, the performance offers reflections on memories, second chances, and what old toys mean in our lives. The creative team includes director Ģirts Šolis, composer Sniedze Prauliņa, and actors Lienīte Podskočija, Matīss Millers, and Santa Didžus. Please review the theatre’s rules for visitors.
