“Reliģija un kulti. Ticības tumšā puse” is a lecture-performance in Jelgava at PARKS, Grilbārs & restorāns on 19 November 2026. The event examines some of the world’s most notorious cults, their crimes and the psychology behind them, as well as the darker side of religion. It explores how faith, hope and the need to belong can be used for psychological manipulation, control and criminal purposes. The programme also looks at how religious communities can turn into destructive cults and how cult thinking and behaviour form today. Doors open at 18:00.
