The concert-story “Pusgadsimts. Mīts vai patiesība?” by pianist Liene Circene will take place at Ventspils Concert Hall LATVIJA on 28 November 2026. Unlike a traditional anniversary concert, this introspective and self-ironic event presents ten pieces, each representing a chapter of life and merging music with narration for a unified dramaturgy. The program features works by Cata, Pärt, Mozart, Sisask, Katsaris, Glass, Chopin, Cowell, Beethoven, and Liszt, reflecting various emotions and life stages. The concert includes unique performances on the Una Corda piano by Dāvids Kļaviņš and a Steinway grand. It is accessible to everyone, requiring no musical knowledge—just a willingness to listen and reflect.
