Jānis Lūsēns. Skaņu lauki is a concert in Ventspils at Ventspils concert hall LATVIJA on 4 December 2026. This unhurried musical evening brings together the composer’s works and improvisations, inviting listeners to focus on subtle sounds, timbres, calm and silence. The programme features interval piano, celesta, bells, chimes and an analogue synthesiser, alongside the distinctive sound of David Klavins’ 470i piano, which is 4.70 metres high. Jānis Lūsēns will be joined by Evija Mundeciema-Lūsēna on various wind instruments. Each piece and improvisation emerges in the moment, making the concert unrepeatable. The evening also includes stories about Ozolu skola and the composer’s creative work.
