Lāčplēša dienas Gaismas gājiens is a commemorative light procession in Suntažu pagasts on 11 November 2026. The route begins at Suntažu cultural centre and ends at the memorial stele “In memory of the sons of Suntaži parish who fell or went missing in the First World War and the Latvian War of Independence”. Local residents of all ages are invited to honour the memory of Latvia’s freedom fighters together. The procession starts at 18:00. Participants are asked to bring candles and torches and light them as a sign of respect, gratitude and remembrance of those who fought for Latvia’s freedom.
