KURLMĒMO ZEME is an online theatre show at Ieraksts, on 30 December 2026. After purchasing, viewers receive a link and access code by email, and the performance recording can be watched at any time for 3 days from code activation. This is a starkly romantic thriller about a person wanting to be good in a cruel world and about two women’s friendship as they try to survive in a city ruled by bandits. The main roles are played by Chulpan Khamatova and Kristīne Krūze, together with Gundars Āboliņš and Toms Harjo. Directed by Alvis Hermanis, the production is based on a story by Renata Litvinova, also referencing Valery Todorovsky’s 1998 film. The show is performed in Latvian and is available online as a recording.
